This tour will present some of the highlights that the Faroe Islands has to offer such as fantastic nature, fun and fresh activities as well as meeting and engaging with the locals.
Tour highlights
Day 1
The picturesque village Tjørnuvík, which is nestled peacefully in a deep valley with a wonderful panorama view to the sea stacks “Risin and Kellingin”.
Enroute we will have a stop at the highest waterfall in the Faroe Islands “Fossá”.
Gjógv – the village that bears its name form a beautiful 200-meter-long gorge that has been used as a natural harbour.
Hike along the bank of the gorge, from where you have a spectacular view of the bird cliffs and the island Kalsoy.
In the evening you will be served a delicious seafood dinner at the local restaurant Gjóbiti.
On the way to Tórshavn we will drive through the subsea tunnel with the famous jellyfish roundabout that opened in 2020.
Day 2
Tórshavn sightseeing on E-bikes.
Brewery visit and lunch.
The island Nólsoy, where a local host will take you on a guided journey through the village and its legends.
After the tour of Nólsoy, you will be invited to the home of Maud for a dinner party – a Faroese concept also called “Heimablíðni”.
We will end the day with a swim in the country’s largest hot tub, combined with Faroese appetizers and brew.
Day 3
Peter Pan and Wendy Boat tour – a boat tour that will take you to some of the most spectacular filming locations for the new Disney movie “Peter Pan and Wendy” – that is Tindhólmur, Drangarnir all with a view to Mykines.
Gásadalur and the famous waterfall “Múlafossur”
Fiskastykkið which is a hundred-year-old warehouse that has been freshened up and turned in to a cosy café and a charming conference and event venue.
All in all, we will endeavor to give you a good insight into what the Faroe Islands have to offer as a tourist destination and give you ideas on how to put together programs for your customers who would like to visit our islands.
Detailed program TBA later.
