A trip around Akureyri Countryside;
- HÆLIÐ the Great White Plague center, an interesting, well displayed and touching museum about The Great White Plague (TB).
- Holtsel, a farm where they sell homemade ice cream in their farm shop. They provide a good variety of ice cream flavours to be enjoyed indoors or outdoors where you can get a good look at their farm animals.
- Saurbæjarkirkja is one of the few remaining turf churches and the largest. It was built in 1858 by the carpenter Ólafur Briem.B The Museum of Small Objects, as it has been called, has the unique position of not being a collection of any specific objects but of all possible objects.
- Edda the giant cow. Edda is about three meters high, and five meters long designed and built by Beate Stormo, a European and multiple Icelandic champion in fire smithing and is a symbol of the Eyjafjörður region.
- Brúnir Horse organise professional shows where the Icelandic horse is introduced in its natural environment and its history and unique qualities are brought to life with emphasis on the horse‘s multiple skills and diversity.
Be prepared to walk a bit outside – dress according to weather.
