Koma saman – a phrase meaning “coming together” in both Icelandic and Faroese – perfectly captures the spirit of the Vestnorden B2B Networking event. For 40 years, Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroes have come together annually to celebrate and promote tourism in the West Nordic region.
What started as a friendly gesture has grown into a dynamic frontier for tourism at the crossroads of the North Atlantic and Arctic Oceans. The story began with the Smyril Line Norröna ferry, which opened new opportunities for cooperation and tourism between these island nations.

These three countries collaborate on this important joint event in the North Atlantic region, Vestnorden, which takes place in Iceland every second year, and every fourth year in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
